How do I add nominee to my EPF account ?(PROCESS FLOW FOR EPF E-NOMINATION)
Open UAN portal-> Go to "Manage" on the tab -> Click on 'E Nomination' ->Fill desired details of person whom you want to nominate-> Upload his/her Photograph->Tick mark on the consent box ->click on 'Save Family Details"->Fill " Total amount of Share(%)" in the row if nominated person name-> Click on ' Save EPF Nomination '.
What is EPF & EPS nomination ?
Under Paragraph 33 & 61 (1) of the Employees Provident Fund scheme ,1952 & paragraph 18 of the Employees Pension Scheme, 1995 a member is hereby nominate the person or persons or cancel the nomination made by previously with appropriate information to receive the amount of standing to credit in the Employee Provident Fund and Employee Pension Fund.

What are the documents required for EPF nomination?
Considering the above information following documents are required,+
- Aadhar number and card of Nominee
- Mobile number linked to Aadhar
- Address of Nominee
- Photograph of Nominee (size of Photo shall not exceed 100 kb)

Why EPF nomination important?
- EPFO expects from EPF member to inform about the family members proactively so that in future EPFO can easily identify the family members and help then in the absence of EPF member.
- Address, Aadhar number, Photograph also required while EPF nomination to ensure authenticity of the Family members.
- Declaration regarding percentage of share to be taken from employee ensure smooth claim settlement after expiry of member.
Where to submit EPF nomination?
EPF nomination is submitted to EPFO. Earlier nomination was submitted through offline mode by filling the Form-2, now the system has been shifted to online.
What are the benefits of Nomination?
Family member of the employee can smoothly receive the settlement claim of the employee after death if prior nomination has been done.
What percentage of share in EPF nomination one can choose ?
An employee can segregate his/her share by putting percentage of share however the share of percentage should not exceed 100.
Is nomination under EPF essential/mandatory, If so, what is the process ?
Every member should make a nomination to receive the amount available in the Fund in the event of his death. If a member has a family, he must nominate one or more persons belonging to his family only. If he has no family, he can nominate any person or persons of his choice. However, if he later acquires a family, such nomination becomes invalid, and he will have to make a fresh – nomination of one or more persons belonging to his family.

How to Process EPF Nomination online ?
Below points kept in mind before applying Nomination

Your photograph shall be uploaded in Profile picture of UAN portal.

Your registered mobile number shall be linked to Aadhar number

KYC like, Aadhar Number, PAN number, Bank Account number must have updated.
Step by Step guide is given below,
Step-1 : Open employee portal by clicking on service from the tab of EPFO Home page.
Step-2 : Click on ‘Member UAN/online Service(OCS/OTCP) from services column to open UAN portal.
Step-3 : After opening UAN portal, enter UAN Number, Password & captcha and then click on “Log in” to open UAN portal.
Step-4 : After opening of Home page of UAN Portal, Go to “Manage” on the tab and click on ‘E Nomination’ And then opening the page Enter New Nomination as highlighted in below picture.

Step-5 : Fill all details like Aadhar number, name, relationship with employee, of nominated person and upload his/her Photograph.
Step-6 : Click on Add Row to add more member and like as first row otherwise tick mark on the consent box and click on ‘Save Family Details”. If second member is minor ,then mention Guardian name & address in the plus button as given below in the picture.
Size of photograph shall be passport size and within 100 kb.
EPF nomination share percentage
Step-7 : Then fill ” Total amount of Share(%)” column and then Click on ‘ Save EPF Nomination ‘Total amount of share shall not exceed 100.
Step-8 : Open Nomination history to check your EPF nomination saved successfully. Click on the word symbol button to verify the data you have uploaded.
What is EPF nomination form ?
Form-2 is required to nomination Family members into your EPF & EPS account. Earlier Har copy was required now a days you have to file nomination online.
Why most of the employer worried about E-nomination ?
If employee will not nominate any family members, then at the time of claim settlement role of employer came into light.
Various clarification from employer side is required about the family details of employee. As employer is the ultimate responsible entity to clarify about employee and close the settlement process.
EPF nominee update online
Go to Dashboard of your UAN portal and click on KYC button on Manage tab to check the status of your EPF nomination whether done or not. You can click on the document symbol to figure out what information you have given in the EPF nomination section.
How to update PAN number in UAN Portal.
Step-1 : Open UAN portal entering UAN number, Password & Captcha.
Step-2 : After opening dashboard, select Manage tab and click on KYC from drop down menu.
Step-3 :Click on “PAN” button.
Step-4 : Enter Name as per PAN, PAN number, Tick mark on acknowledgement box and then click on ” Save” button. Now your PAN number is updated successfully in KYC list of your UAN portal.

Is employer’s approval required by me for filling e- Nomination ?
No, Now this time no employer approval is required ,it is directly submitted to EPFO through online. Yes, earlier time physical copy of FOrm-2 was to be filled by employee and submitted to EPF office after approval of employer.
How to resolve an Aadhaar mismatch in an e-nomination ?
First of all if you have updated Aadhar number in you KYC section then mismatch will not arise at the time of filling E-Nomination. Secondly you have to Fill a joint declaration Form (Mention wrong name & correct name) with self attested Aadhar card to employer, then the employer will change it tin the backend. Ensure correct KYC before E-nomination and Correct name mentioned in the Aadhar card of your Nominee.
How can I complete pending nomination in EPF?
Go to UAN Dash board, Click on KYC from drop down menu of “Manage” ,If your E-nomination is pending then it will automatically take you to the site to fulfill it.
